Household Trash

  1. Garbage must be stored in closed animal proof containers such as the 90 gallon cart provided by the contractor (Suburban Disposal). Garbage strewn by animals and birds is unsightly and unsanitary. Property owners, their renters and guests will be responsible for clean-up or for costs incurred to effect clean-up. A second 90 gallon container may be purchased from Suburban if routine extra capacity is needed. Isolated instances of extra capacity can be handled by storing the waste neatly and sanitarily near the regular container.

  2. Material for recycling must be placed at curbside only on the day of pick-up in the blue bin provided by the contractor. A second bin is available at no cost from the Town if extra capacity is needed. Plastic covering in case of rain can be used and will be returned in the empty blue bin.

  3. Garbage and household trash containers and recycle bins should be placed at the curb only on the day of pick-up. They must not be visible from the street at any other time.

  4. Garbage, household trash and recyclables can be disposed of at any time in the appropriate containers provided at Kestral Court (household garbage) and Sora Rail Road (recycling) near the Fire Station.
