Wednesday, June 27th at 6:30 pm at Night Heron Park
No Tickets Required
Multi-talented Rickey Godfrey, blind from birth, is an ultra-talented artist originally from Upstate South Carolina (but now based in Nashville) who works his magic on guitar, keyboards, and vocals. With his horn-driven band, Godfrey plays a winning combination of jump blues, beach music, and shag tunes that will delight the young and the old. His latest CD "Nasty Man" (2011) features the regional hit "Allergic to Mink" and a batch of other danceable melodies and is a must-have souvenir of good times on the Carolina coast. Get ready to party, rock, and sway with this super musician and his all-star band! You won’t want to miss this eclectic musical performance while the sun sets in Night Heron Park during the Sundown Festival. The Sundown Festival features music, southern lawn games, and for the children inflatables and a train available throughout the evening. Night Heron Grill will be open for extended hours. Admission is complimentary. Rickey Godfrey’s musical performance is presented by the Town of Kiawah Island Arts Council in collaboration with the Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s Sundown Festival.
