Parkway Guardrail Painting Begins Tomorrow May 1
Beginning tomorrow, Saturday, May 1, crews will begin painting the guardrails along the Kiawah Island Parkway (Mingo Point and bridge) as a part of the Kiawah Island Parkway Improvement Project. Johns Island Traffic Alert | Nighttime Paving Continues at Maybank Highway and River Road Intersection
Charleston County Public Works will continue nighttime paving at the Maybank Highway and River Road intersection. Construction will take place from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. beginning Sunday, April 18 through Wednesday, April 21. Drivers can expect lane shifts and possible brief lane closures. Beach Leash Ordinance Seasonal Change
As a reminder, from March 16 – October 31, dogs must be on a leash at all times on the beach from the western Critical Habitat Area (near Beachwalker County Park) to the eastern boundary of the Beach Club. Please remember to use caution while driving as you may encounter wildlife crossing our roadways. First Bobcat Den of the Year
Town Biologists were thrilled to discover the year’s first bobcat den on Monday, April 12 along Ocean Course Drive! Bobcat 550 had two 8-10 day old male kittens.
