Please remember to use caution while driving as you may encounter wildlife crossing our roadways. On April 4, Bobcat 767 (a collared bobcat from the Town’s GPS research project) was killed by a car on Governor’s Drive. This bobcat was captured on January 28, 2021, near Indigo Park and weighed 13 lbs., 5 oz.
This is the fourth bobcat that has been killed by a vehicle in the last eight months. Please watch out for our furry friends while driving and share this information with your visitors.
As a part of the ongoing research about the threat of SGA poisoning to our bobcat population, the carcass will be submitted to a diagnostic laboratory for a complete necropsy.
