Charleston County and Fetter Health Care Network Administer COVID-19 Vaccines Tomorrow
On Thursday, February 25, Charleston County and Fetter Health Care Network will be administering COVID-19 vaccines at the Baxter-Patrick James Island Library (1858 S. Grimball Road). Vaccines will be available from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to eligible citizens on a first-come, first-served basis.
Citizens under Phase 1 A are eligible to receive a vaccine. That includes anyone 65 and older, health care workers, a parent of a medically fragile child, and critical essential workers defined by the South Carolina Department of Health. More at scdhec.gov.
Citizens will fill out paperwork on-site and need to bring a Personal Photo ID, an Employment photo ID (if applicable), an Insurance card, or social security number if they do not have insurance. Proof of residency is not required.
There will be crews directing traffic and guiding those getting vaccinated to available parking.
Harris Teeter COVID-19 Vaccines Clinic
Harris Teeter has announced a COVID-19 vaccination clinic in partnership with Charleston Gaillard Center and the City of Charleston. Harris Teeter’s Pharmacists will administer first dose COVID-19 vaccines to eligible individuals, today Wednesday, February 24 (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.), and Thursday, February. 25 (noon to 4 p.m.) at the Charleston Gaillard Center.
Vaccine product is confirmed and in-hand. Eligible individuals include healthcare workers, residents and staff of long-term care facilities, and seniors aged 65 and older. The no-cost vaccination is available by appointment only while supplies last.
The Town is operating under Emergency Ordinance 2021-02, which requires face coverings and other emergency restrictions to address COVID-19 until March 2, 2021, and will be replaced by Ordinance 2021-03, after second reading which establishes emergency restrictions that shall remain in place until December 31, 2021, or until the Governor allows the current State of Emergency to expire, whichever date comes first.
As of Monday, February 8, any South Carolina resident aged 65 or older, regardless of health status or preexisting conditions, is able to schedule their appointment to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. More
