Charleston County, Charleston County Public Libraries and Fetter Health Care Partner to offer Single-Dose Vaccines at COVID-19 Rural Vaccination Clinics
Charleston County and Fetter Health Care will offer the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine as part of their COVID-19 Rural Vaccination Program on the following days:
Tuesday, March 16 | 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
St. Paul’s/Hollywood Library, 5130 Highway 165, Hollywood, SC 29449
Thursday, March 25 | 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Baxter-Patrick James Island Library, 1858 S. Grimball Road, Charleston, SC 29412
It is important that citizens do not arrive before 12:30 p.m. The libraries will be closed to the public on the day of the vaccine clinics. The book drops will also be closed.
Vaccines are available to citizens in Phase 1a and Phase 1b, which includes citizens 55 and older, those at increased risk for severe COVID-19 disease and frontline workers with increased occupational risk. The clinics are first come, first-served and do not require an appointment. More at scdhec.gov.
Citizens will fill out paperwork on-site and need to bring a Personal Photo ID, an Employment photo ID (if applicable), an Insurance card, or social security number if they do not have insurance. Proof of residency is not required. Read the release here.
The Town is operating under Ordinance 2021-03, which continues emergency restrictions that shall remain in place until December 31, 2021, or until the Governor allows the current State of Emergency to expire, whichever date comes first.
