Proposed Rezoning of 4455 Betsy Kerrison Parkway
UPDATE: Notice of Deferral | Sea Island Golf Planned Development
Recently residents were notified that on March 8, the Charleston County Planning Commission reviewed and denied the rezoning request for Sea Island Golf Planned Development located at 4455 Betsy Kerrison Parkway. The application was set to be considered by County Council. The applicant of Sea Island Golf Planned Development has requested a deferral from the scheduled April 13, 2021, Charleston County Public Hearing. The Town will update the community on the status of the application and the future County Council Public Hearing regarding this rezoning request. Town Council has received feedback from the community on the proposed rezoning of the property located at 4455 Betsy Kerrison Parkway, Johns Island, SC 29455 (the undeveloped property between the Municipal Center and Resurrection Road). View Map

Town Council will discuss the feedback received at their meeting today at 2 p.m. Residents can watch the meeting on the Town’s YouTube channel here.
The Town intends to submit a letter to the County on behalf of the community. However, residents are encouraged to provide their comments to the County as well. Comment submission information is provided in the section below.
Charleston County Planning Commission Meeting
On March 8, 2021, the Charleston County Planning Commission will review the proposed rezoning of 4455 Betsy Kerrison Parkway in Council Chambers, 2nd Floor, Lonnie Hamilton, III Public Services Building 4045 Bridge View Drive, North Charleston, SC 29405.
The agenda and materials are now available online here. Residents may submit their comments by noon on Friday, March 5 to the Charleston County Planning Commission at CCPC@charlestoncounty.org or in-person at the meeting.
