Reminder: Littering Ordinance
Let us continue and strive to keep our community clean and inhabitable for our neighbors and wildlife friends.
In no case shall litter or other solid waste be placed or disposed of on any public or private property except in an authorized container provided expressly to retain such debris. Placing trash or waste material in an approved receptacle should be done in such a way as to prevent the garbage or waste material from being carried out by the elements.
Litter is defined as organic or inorganic waste, rubbish, refuse, garbage, recyclable materials, trash, peelings, hulls, weeds, ashes, sand, gravel, slag, brickbats, metal, plastic, and glass containers, broken glass, dead animals, or accidentally or intentionally discarded materials of all kinds.
Individuals found leaving items outside of the containers will be subject to a $500 fine plus assessments. Read more
