Meet Our New Staff Members
The Town is pleased to welcome two new staff members to our team!

Our new Planner I - Landscape and Tree Specialist is Patrea St. John. Patrea is a planner and landscape architect with more than 37 years of experience in both the private and public sector with projects ranging from large scale master planning to detailed design for parks, resorts, educational facilities, and residential communities. She has worked for a variety of agencies throughout South Carolina, Florida, and Georgia.
In her new role with the Town, Patrea will review, inspect, and enforce activities relative to the Town’s new Landscape and Tree Standards, as well as review and evaluate development applications and specifications for tree planting, preservation, and protection; facilitate regulatory programs; conduct inspections; issue violations; and provide citizen engagement through the permitting process relative to the landscape and tree standards.
Our new Video Production Specialist is Neal Kinard. Neal has more than 30 years of experience in video production and photography, has owned his own video production business since the 90s, and has a background as chief photographer and news producer for news media (WCSC TV). He is an Emmy Award winning director of photographer and producer and is a Charleston native.
Neal will assist the Town with coordinating and producing the Town’s podcast, providing support for livestreaming meetings, photographing Town events, providing visual content for digital platforms, and produce a variety of videos to showcase the Town and our unique community to both residents and visitors.
